Otumfuo-AgroEcom Mobile Learning Project Empowers Students in Atwima Mponua
The Otumfuo-AgroEcom Mobile Learning Project has launched an eight-week educational outreach in Otaakrom, a rural community in the Atwima Mponua District of Ghana. This transformative initiative aims to enhance ICT skills and English literacy among children while also supporting cocoa farmers with best agricultural practices.
A Holistic Approach to Rural Education
During the two-week stay in each community, the team engages students in English reading exercises and practical ICT lessons, equipping them with essential 21st-century skills. The program is designed to bridge the education gap in rural areas, ensuring that young learners receive the necessary tools for academic success.
Cinematography and Cultural Preservation
Beyond academics, the project incorporates cinematography, using mobile cinema vans to educate the public on Asante cultural heritage and showcase documentaries on best cocoa farming practices. This approach fosters cultural appreciation while providing valuable insights to local cocoa farmers on improving crop yields.

Following their stay in Otaakrom, the Otumfuo-AgroEcom team will extend its outreach to other communities, including:
