Ferdinand| EducationGhana| October 2|Obuasi Senior High Technical School Wins 2022 Sci-Tech Challenge
Obuasi Senior High Technical School has once again been crowned as the National Sci-Tech Challenge 2022.
The School won the competition last year and was poised to defend it this year but faced stiff competition from other schools across the country.
Having built a reputation as the best in technology, innovation, science, engineering etc over the past few years, the Asikafuo lads proved too strong for the other schools.
The team put together a project on ‘Making recliner chairs from plastics sorted automatically from a waste segregator’, the team of judges had no option but to award Obuasi SHTS with the winning prize of thirty thousand Ghana Cedis.
The Sci-Tech Challenge precedes the National Science and Maths Quiz Competition every year.
Unfortunately, most of the schools that do well in the theory are unable to compete in this practical application of the knowledge in sciences where O’secTec is calving a niche for themselves as the indispensable champion in practical STEM.
