Apam SHS emerged victorious on Day 2 of NSMQ 2024 at the CNC Auditorium, advancing to the one-eighth stage with 38 points, ahead of E.P.C. Mawuko Girls’ SHS and Obiri Yeboah SHTS.

 


The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) 2024 continued on October 15, 2024, with another round of captivating contests at the CNC Auditorium.

Among the standout performances was Apam SHS, who clinched a well-deserved victory to advance to the one-eighth stage of the competition, leaving E.P.C. Mawuko Girls’ SHS and Obiri Yeboah SHTS behind.

 

Progression of the Contest

The contest witnessed several shifts in momentum as the schools battled through the rounds:

 

  • End of Round 1: The competition kicked off on an even note, with Obiri Yeboah SHTS, Apam SHS, and E.P.C. Mawuko Girls’ SHS each scoring 18, 17, and 17 points, respectively. All three schools struggled with the Problem of the Day, scoring 0/10.

 

  • End of Round 2: Apam SHS emerged stronger, pulling ahead with 29 points, while E.P.C. Mawuko Girls’ SHS and Obiri Yeboah SHTS lagged behind at 18 and 11 points.

 

  • End of Contest: Apam SHS solidified their lead, finishing with 38 points, securing the top spot and a place in the one-eighth stage. E.P.C. Mawuko Girls’ SHS scored 31 points, and Obiri Yeboah SHTS ended with 25 points.
