The Northern Regional Metropolitan Directorate of Education has charged validators GH¢450 for a training workshop on ESPV being organized by the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) in the region.
The Metropolitan directorate in a letter to district directorates within the region indicated, that the CAGD as a matter of policy requires Heads od MDAs to generate and submit monthly reports of Electronic Salary Payment Vouchers (ESPV) validated.
Purpose
The letter said the purpose of the policy initiative being implemented by the CAGD is to sanitize the entire payroll system.
The letter further stated the implementation would help authenticate the monthly validation being done.
Workshop
The letter stated, that in view of the above-listed purpose. the Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship is organising a two-day for validators and Heads of Institutions within the public service on how to effectively generate and submit ESPV reports and to set up those who are yet to be put on the ESPV platforms.

Target Groups
The letter said the target groups for the workshop include; District Directors, Headmasters of Second Cycle Institutions Headteachers and Assistants at the Basic Schools, Human Resource Managers and Officers.
The other groups include; School Improvement Support Officers(SISOs), Accountants, Administrators, I.P.P.D.Officers, Payroll Coordinators, as well as Internal Auditors.
Categorization
The letter said the districts have been put into groups of which Tamale Metro, Savelugu and Nnaton have theirs being scheduled at the same time.
Venue
The workshop is expected to take place at the GNAT Hall in Tamale from the 18th to 19th May, 2021from 8:00 am to 4:30 PM.
Registration Fee
A registration fee of GH¢450.00 is to be paid per participant with workshop materials including Face Masks, CurseMaterilas, Lunch, Certificate, as well as Proceedings Tuitions.
Caution
The letter indicated, that the workshop was compulsory for all validators .
