EducationGhana, May 17, C/R GNAT: Abiagial Darkoh, a Basic School Teacher in the Goma district of the Gnana National Association of Ghana (GNAT) is contesting the chairperson position of the district in the Central Region.
The election is set to come off on the 19th of May, 2021 at the Mephibosheth Training Centre at Gomoa Ankamu in the Central region.
As p[art of the 6th Quadreniel and 53rd District Delegates Conference of the GNAT, the election is expected to choose new leaders to manage the affairs of the Association at the District level.
About Abiagial Darkoh
Abigail is selfless, and a diplomatic person with eleven years of working experience with the Ghana Nationa Association of Teachers, Afransi Local where she served in various positions at the local level.

MY VISION for Gomoa GNAT
To improve the membership of the Gomoa GNAT with 95%of teachers in the whole of Gomoa as GNAT members through an enhanced membership education drive.
Together with the GNATLAS coordinator will organise income-generating programmes for the ladies to enhance our livelihood as female teachers and also programmes where the female teacher will be encouraged and resourced to play her multiple role as a wife,mother, carer woman to fit into the society .
Together with the youth coordinator organise seminars and activities to aid the young teacher to invest profitably and carefully, plan ahead in terms of furthering their education and acquiring landed properties as well.
TEACHERS WHO ARE ADVANCED IN AGE
Together with the other executives, organise a talk show on how to prepare for retirement (emotionally,socially, economically )
Plan on how to prepare before and after retirement.
Collaborate with the SHS rep to organise orientation for JHS teachers on courses offered at the SHS to enable the JHS teacher to aid his or her pupil select the appreciate programme of study.
At most together with the other executives, organise recreational activities annually to refresh our minds.
