All Newly Trained Teachers in the Public Basic Schools are to be validated for payment of their Salaries in April 2020, EducationGhana can confirm.
Confirmed reports reaching EducationGhana indicate that the newly trained teachers who have been issued with Staff Identification Numbers without undergoing the mandatory biometric verification Exercise are to be validated to take their April Salaries.
In effect, validators in some districts have been duly notified by the Ghana Education (GES) to validate all newly trained teachers on their staff.

The directive further suggested that such newly trained teachers should be validated if they duly have been issued with their Staff Identification numbers with or without undergoing their biometric registrations.
Default Additions
In situations where the newly trained teachers have not been added to the PVs of their schools, such teachers are expected to be added to the PVs for validation should he or she have a Staff ID.

2018 Newly Trained Teachers’ Agitations
The 2018 batch of teachers from the Colleges of Education, who have been posted to teach in the public basic schools is calling on the Controller and Accountant General’s Department (CAGD) and the Ghana Education Service (GES) to pay them their salaries.
The teachers are saying the government has not paid them their salaries since being employed some four months ago.
