JUST IN: Government pays Teacher Trainees’ two-months Allowance arrears

The Government of Ghana,through the Student Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has paid a two-month allowance arrears of teacher trainees.

The allowance arrears was for the months of July and August respectively.

Earlier,trainees in the various public colleges of education questioned the decision of government to delay the payment of their allowances.

But government assured trainees the allowances shall be paid with allm arrears.

About the Allawance

Teacher Trainees were promised an allowances during their stay in college by the New Patritic Party Government during its campaign to win power in 2016.

The former government ,led by John Dramani Mahama swapped the allowances for loans with an assurance of paying the feeding fees of trainees.
