GES Opens Applications for September 2021 Staff Promotions – APPLY HERE

TEACHERS

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has opened applications for promotions in four grades by its serving officers/ Teaching Staff.

The grades include; Deputy Director, Assistant Director 1, Assistant Director 11 and Principal Superintendent.

The Ghana Education Service has outlined the criteria for consideration for application into the above-mentioned grades.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Deputy Director: The Applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Assistant Director (Currently Assistant Director 1) on or before 2016.

And should have been continuously at the post since then (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).

 

Assistant Director 1: The Applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Assistant Director 11 on or before 2016.

And should have been continuously at the post since then (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).

 

Assistant Director 11: The Applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Principal Superintendent on or before 2016.

And should have been continuously at the post since then (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).

 

Principal Superintendent: The Applicant should have been promoted to the grade of Senior Superintendent on or before 2016.

And should have been continuously at the post since then (except for the periods of approved leave of absence).

Officers/ Teachers with Masters Degree and PhD

For the avoidance of doubts, applicants who wish to rely on Masters/Doctorate Degrees to join the promotion exercise out of turn should note the following;

a. Masters/PhD programme should be on the approved GES Course of Study.

b. The Masters/PhD certificate should not have been obtained before previous promotion.

c. Applicants should have obtained their certificate on or before 2018 but not before your last promotion.

Mode of Application

 

I. An applicant should complete the APPLICATION FORM online, and upload a passport size photograph as well.
2. An applicant should upload only last promotion letter or upgrading letter or appointment letter.
3. An applicant should upload only Master’s/Doctorate Degree certificate when using it for his/her promotion.
4.  All documents uploaded should be in a PDF format with the exception of the passport photograph
5.  All documents uploaded should be clear and readable.
6.  The completed application form should be uploaded on the website NOT LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 23, 2021
Please note: Failure to comply will result in outright disqualification.
