The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced the disbursement of GH¢8,989,866.00 as feeding grants to Special Needs Schools, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive education.

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has confirmed that the Government of Ghana has released a total of GH¢8,989,866.00 as feeding grants for learners in Special Needs Schools nationwide. This disbursement is a significant step toward ensuring the wellbeing of learners with disabilities and promoting inclusive education in Ghana.

In a press release signed by Daniel Fenyi, Head of the Public Relations Unit at GES, the Service emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to education for all—regardless of ability.

The disbursement, which covers the full feeding costs for all special schools, is part of a broader agenda by the government to support Special Needs Education.
