YEA Unveils Arabic Teaching Model to Chief Imam to Boost Inclusive Youth Employment


YEA introduces Arabic Teaching Model to the National Chief Imam, aiming to support Arabic teachers with stipends to promote inclusive youth employment.


Accra, Ghana – May 19, 2025 – The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), Mr. Abubakari Kudus, has led a delegation to the residence of the National Chief Imam, His Eminence Sheikh Dr. Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, to formally introduce the Agency’s new Arabic Teaching Model.

The meeting, which took place over the weekend, highlighted YEA’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable employment by targeting Arabic instructors within Muslim communities for formal support and recognition.

As part of the initiative, Arabic teachers will be recruited and provided with monthly stipends, enhancing their economic stability and encouraging more structured Arabic education across the country.

Mr. Kudus stated that the programme aims to bridge employment gaps while empowering educators in religious and culturally significant roles. He reiterated the agency’s focus on reaching underrepresented communities through tailored employment initiatives.

The Chief Imam commended YEA for the visit and welcomed the initiative, expressing optimism that it would uplift both the youth and the Islamic educational sector.

YEA continues to expand its employment programmes across various sectors, aligning with national development goals and the pursuit of equitable opportunities for all Ghanaian youth.
