The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) results will be released by November 15, 2025. The Council says preparations for the release are at an advanced stage, with final checks being made to ensure accuracy and credibility. This confirmation brings relief to thousands of candidates who completed their final papers in September and have since been anxiously waiting for their results.Over 34,000 Results Withheld for Suspected Malpractice
In its statement, WAEC disclosed that the results of 34,563 candidates have been withheld over alleged involvement in various forms of examination malpractice. These include collusion, impersonation, use of unauthorised materials, and irregularities detected during marking and script verification.WAEC noted that these cases are currently under investigation, and decisions will be made based on the findings of the Examinations Committee. Candidates found guilty of such offences may have their results cancelled either wholly or partially, depending on the severity of the infraction.Commitment to Integrity and Fairness
The Council reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the integrity of public examinations in Ghana and across the West African subregion. It also assured the public that all legitimate candidates will receive their results without delay once the official release is made.WAEC further urged schools and candidates to avoid paying attention to online fraudsters who claim to have access to upgrade results or influence outcomes, warning that such activities are criminal and punishable by law.Accessing the 2025 WASSCE Results
Candidates can access their results via the official WAEC results portal at “https://www.waecgh.org” (https://www.waecgh.org) or by using the WASSCE Results Checker Card available at accredited vendors nationwide.
