The West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) has denied the Africa Education Watch reports on the 2020 WASSCE, insisting no questions were leaked from WAEC to students.
In a news briefing Tuesday, the Council said the report from the think tank exposed their ignorance on how WAEC conducts it affairs.
Agnes Teye Cudjoe, the head of Public Affairs at WAEC, says Africa Education Watch did not engage it before their report came to a proper conclusion.
Last week, the education think tank alleged in a report that WASSCE questions and the personal contact details of examiners were leaked to students.
But the Council has denied this.
WAEC says it is considering all its options including a suing Africa Education Watch.
“These are things that management has to reflect on and strategise regarding taking such a step,” it said.
On the issue of the leakage of the personal contact details of examiners, the Council insists that although the leak was unfortunate, it had systems in place to ensure that it did not affect the outcome of the examination results.
