The National Teaching Council (NTC) has extended the registration of teachers for their licenses indefinitely.
The NTC in a statement issued by its Registrar, Christian Addai Poku on April 22, 2021, said, that the indefinite extension of the registration of in-service teachers for their licenses was due to requests from some relevant stakeholders.

Issuance of Licenses
The NTC however indicated the issuance of Licenses to in-service teachers begins May 12, 2021, in the Greater Accra region.
He added, that the issuance shall later proceed to other regions.
Registration
The NTC said teachers should however note that registering on the Teacher Ghana Portal is the first step for qualified teachers to be issued their licenses.
Non-Qualified Teachers
The NTC further indicated that all non-qualified teachers shall be registered and issued with temporary licenses after the licensing of all qualified teachers.
Regional Licensing
The NTC said it shall make available a schedule of the licensing of in-service teachers in other regions in due course.
All teachers are thereby reminded to visit HERE to register for their licenses.
