President Akuffo in his 21st update on COVID-19 Pandemic in Gnana has indicated that New entrants into Year 1 in the Senior High and Technical Schools (SHS1 ) shall resume March 10, 2021 to begin the 2020/21 Academic year.
The president added, that the form 1 students shall not be engaged in the double-track system.
SHS2 & 3
President Akuffo Addo said that SHS 2 and 3 students shall resume on January 18, 2021.
The president said the SHS students shall no longer engage in the double-track system.
He indicated that the SHS2 Students shall continue with the double-track system.

Basic Schools
The President however indicated, that basic schools shall resume January 15 to begin the 2020/21 Academic year.
“Our children must go to school…. we are satisfied that in the current circumstances the reopening of our schools is safe. So from 15th January, our children in Kindergarten, primary and Junior High in both private and public schools will be back in school”, president Akufo-Addo Announced.

Tertiary
The president said all Universities and other tertiary institutions shall resume January 9, 2020.
COVID-19 Protocols
The president indicated that all educational institutions shall be fumigated prior to the resumption of schools as well as expected to observe all protocols of covid-19.
