At the 75th Anniversary of Mawuli School, 89-year-old alumnus Mr. Samuel Kosi Loh, the sole surviving member of his 1959 year group, captured hearts. OMSU ’08 will visit and honour him in Klefe for his enduring Mawuli spirit.

The 75th Anniversary celebration of Mawuli School, Ho, was marked by a moment of quiet reflection and deep emotion as Mr. Samuel Kosi Loh, affectionately known as “Kportimelakle,” stood as the only representative of his year group — the Class of 1959.
Mr. Loh, who was admitted to Mawuli School in 1955, turned 89 years old in September 2025 and remains a proud torchbearer of the school’s values of Endurance, Truth, and Service.
Speaking softly amid the jubilant celebrations, he said,
“Sadly, I didn’t see any of my classmates.”
The remark, simple yet powerful, resonated across generations of Mawulians and quickly spread across social media, symbolising resilience, legacy, and the passage of time.
OMSU ’08 Steps Forward to Honour a Living Legend
Deeply moved by his story, members of the 2008 Year Group of the Old Mawuli Students Union (OMSU ’08) reached out to Mr. Loh and invited him to become a Patron and honorary member of their group.
To celebrate his unwavering loyalty to the school, OMSU ’08 will visit Mr. Loh at his residence in Klefe, Volta Region, on Saturday, 1st November 2025.
The visit will include a short fellowship, donation, and interaction session to honour Mr. Loh for his lifelong commitment to the Mawuli community.
