Early this year, the Management of the National Teaching Council (NTC) issued the teachers’ professional license card to qualified in-service public teachers in the Greater Accra Region, Central Region, and Western Region.

According to the Teaching Council, the professional license card is recognized by the African Federation of Teaching Regulatory Authorities (AFTRA) and can be used to teach in the country and outside Ghana.

The Executive Secretary of the NTC in an email to EducationWeb said the card can be used to teach outside Ghana but written confirmation is needed to validate if a person’s professional requirements are met and in good standing.
