Western North schools including Sefwi Wiawso SHS and St. Joseph’s SHS will represent the region in NSMQ 2025. Here’s the full list of qualifiers, seeded schools, and outlook.

Western North Region — Rising Stars in NSMQ

The Western North Region, created in 2019, is still building its footprint in the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ). While it has yet to record a semifinal appearance, schools from the region are steadily improving and earning recognition for their resilience and competitive spirit.Sefwi Wiawso SHS has emerged as the region’s most consistent representative, while St. Joseph’s SHS continues to showcase the region’s potential in science and math contests.

Seeded Schools

As of NSMQ 2024, no school from Western North secured a seeded slot. All representatives for NSMQ 2025 came through the regional qualifiers.

Regional Qualifiers

The following schools will represent the Western North Region in NSMQ 2025:
  • Sefwi Wiawso SHS
  • St. Joseph’s SHS
  • Bibiani SHS

Girls’ Schools Representation
