Central Region — A Historic Powerhouse in NSMQ
The Central Region is a traditional powerhouse in the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ). With schools like Mfantsipim School (winners in 1999 and 2014), St. Augustine’s College (winners in 2007 and 2019), and Adisadel College (2016 winners), the region has produced some of the fiercest contests in the competition’s history. The presence of Wesley Girls’ High School, one of Ghana’s top all-girls schools, adds further prestige and anticipation each year.
Seeded Schools
From NSMQ 2024, the following schools secured seeded slots for NSMQ 2025:
- Mfantsipim School
- St. Augustine’s College
- Wesley Girls’ High School
- Apam SHS
- Ghana National College
- Swedru Secondary School
These schools earn direct entry to the national championship.
Regional Qualifiers
The Central Regional Qualifiers were among the most competitive nationwide. The following schools successfully advanced to NSMQ 2025:
