 After Day 2 of the NSMQ 2024 preliminary stage, the top runners-up rankings reveal a heated battle for one-eighth stage qualification. With rankings changing daily, see which schools are currently in contention.

 

As the 31st edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) continues to captivate Ghana, Day 2 of the preliminary stage has concluded with intense competition among the participating schools.

The race for one-eighth stage qualification remains tight, with the top runners-up rankings changing each day as new schools compete.

The evolving leaderboard shows the most outstanding performances from the preliminary stage so far, with only eight of the highest-scoring runners-up set to proceed to the next stage after all contests are completed.

Day 2 – Top Runners-Up Rankings (October 15, 2024)

  1. Kadjebi-Asato SHS44 points
  2. Hohoe E.P. SHS44 points
  3. West Africa SHS42 points
  4. Zion College40 points
  5. Assin Manso SHS40 points
  6. New Juaben SHS39 points
  7. Kpando SHS38 points

These rankings represent the current standing of the top runners-up as of Day 2, but the list remains fluid.

As new schools participate in the preliminary contests, the standings will shift, potentially pushing some schools out of the top eight and elevating others into qualifying positions.

Qualification Dynamics: A Race Against Time
