Mfantsipim School Secures Final Slot After Narrow Win Over Adisadel College

The Central Championship of the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) delivered a gripping showdown as Mfantsipim School (Botwe) edged out fierce rivals Adisadel College by just three points in a high-stakes contest.

The final scores were:

Mfantsipim School: 48 pts

Adisadel College: 45 pts

Apam SHS: 30 pts

Assin State College: 25 pts

St. Andrews SHS: 22 pts


With this victory, Mfantsipim advances to the Zonal Championship Finals, reaffirming their legacy as one of Ghana’s top-performing science schools.




A Clash of Titans in the Central Region

This contest, held under the sponsorship of GOIL PLC, was more than just a regional competition — it was a rematch of two historic science powerhouses. Both Adisadel College (Adisco) and Mfantsipim School have a decorated NSMQ history, and this contest once again lived up to the hype.

While Adisco came close, Mfantsipim’s strategic answering and strong buzzer round proved decisive in the final moments.




Next Stop: Zonal Finals and National Championship

With this win, Mfantsipim joins University Practice SHS, St. Augustine’s College, and Mankessim SHTS in the Central Region’s march toward the NSMQ 2025 National Championship.

They now set their sights on reclaiming national glory, hoping to bring the NSMQ trophy back to their campus.
