Mankessim SHTS stuns with a 47-point win at the Central Regional NSMQ 2025 Zonal Championship, qualifying for both the national stage and regional finals.

Mankessim SHTS Clinches Top Spot in Dramatic Finish

The National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) 2025 Central Regional Zonal Contest ended on a thrilling note as Mankessim Senior High Technical School (SHTS) delivered a stunning performance to emerge winners with 47 points, narrowly edging out Assin State College, who followed closely with 45 points.

The final scoreboard reads:

Mankessim SHTS – 47pts
Assin State College – 45pts
Oguaa SHTS – 20pts
Komenda SHTS – 19pts
Gomoa Gyaman SHS – 13pts

This victory not only qualifies Mankessim SHTS for the national championship but also secures them a spot in the upcoming Central Regional Championship.

Close Contest, Big Dreams

With just two points separating the top two contenders, this was one of the closest contests yet in the 2025 NSMQ regional series. Spectators were on edge as both Mankessim SHTS and Assin State College traded leads across the rounds until the final riddle clinched the game.

“This is a huge win for us. We came in as underdogs but left with our heads high,” said a jubilant contestant from Mankessim SHTS.

The Road Ahead: Regional and National Finals

Mankessim SHTS will now join other zonal champions across the country in the NSMQ 2025 National Championship. Their next test will be at the Central Regional Finals, where powerhouses like Mfantsipim School and Adisadel College are expected to dominate.
