Kwadwoan Publishers donates 100,000 Literature Books to the Ghana Education Service

The Ghana Education Service has received 100,000 copies of literature books from Kwadwoan Publishers.

The  donation took place in the early hours of Thursday at its Headquarters in Accra.

The Deputy Director General in charge of managerial services of GES , Mr Anthony Boateng who received the books on behalf of the Director General commended Kwadwoan Publishers for their complementary role in providing quality Education to the Ghanaian child.

Mr Boateng indicated that the books had been donated at the right time since GES had also put in place measures to improve the teaching and learning of English Language and Literature in English.

” Eventhough government had provided learning materials to all Senior High schools, the 100, 000 books will also go a long way to support the schools. We are very grateful for this kind gesture and we invite other institutions and philanthropists to come on board” Mr Boateng added.

On her part, Mrs Gloria Addo- Safo, Publishing Editor of Kwadwoan Publishers stated that ” they have been yearning for the opportunity to contribute their quota to the country’s education and the challenge faced by students in English and other core subjects was a motivation for donating the books”

Mrs Adu -Safo disclosed that the books have been assessed and approved by National Council for Curriculum and Assessment.

The 100, 000 pieces according Mrs Addo – Safo are valued 1million Ghana cedis .

The books will be distributed to all the Senior High Schools in the Country.
