Basic Schools in the Keta, Ketu South and the Anloga Municipalities/Districts shall write their Third Term Examinations on the Chalkboard.
This is a directive from the Municipal Director of Education after headteachers allegedly betrayed the municipality with higher examination fee charges last term.
This information was contained in a letter sighted by EducationGhana.net ,dated June 28,2019 to the Municipal Chief Executives of keta, Ketu South and the Anloga District by the Keta Municipal Education Director, Mr Michael Yao Tsuikorpe.

According to the Municipal Director of Education, he allowed headteachers do collect GHC7,GHC 8 and Ghc9 from the pupils as exam fees for lower primary, upper and the JHS respectively during the second term examinations.
He indicated that some headteachers allegedly added certain levies to the above specified fees including P. T. A, Levies.
Meanwhile, no amount was supposedly sent to the directorate since April 2019..
The Director further indicated he has been continuously reported to his superiors by parents.
Mr Michael Yao Tsuikorpe said the headteachers do speak to radio stations alleging him to have taken monies from them illegally.
He emotionally exclaimed,he was not going to take such risk during the third term examination.
”My dear honorables .I am not ready to take risk this third term” He said.
He however,suggested the best option could be the support from a philanthropist or the Assembly .
He informed the MCEs that the only option left for him was to inform the headteachers to allow the teachers write the exams on the board for the pupils to answer using their own answer booklets.
Also,he indicated ,he wanted a response from the Municipal and District Chief Executives
from the aforementioned Municipal and District Assemblies by Wednesday,July 3 before he sends his alternate orders to the headteachers.
