JUST IN: GES Released Capitation Grant for the Conduct of Third Term Exams in Basic Schools

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released Capitation Grant to all Public Schools for the conduct of their Third Term Exams.

The GES confirmed the payment of the monies to the accounts of the various District Directorates in a letter dated July 9,2019 to all regional directors of education.

The letter indicated ,the paid capitation grant(Based Grant) was mainly for the payment of Examination fees for third term.

The GES further indicated,sports and culture fees should not be deducted from the paid based grant.

Use of Capitation Grants

The GES earlier issued a letter to the regional directors directing all Headteachers in the various public basic schools to use their Capitation grants to organize this term’s (Third Term) Examination for the Pupils.
