The Minister of Education, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO) has entreated parents to appreciate the works of teachers.
The Minister was speaking on Peace FM, an Accra-based radio station on the activities of the Ministry and the Ghana Education Service in the wake of the novel COVID-19 pandemic.
According to NAPO, parents who are complaining about the troubles being caused by their wards during the partial lockdown by the government should now understand the challenges being faced by the teachers at School.
SHS Online Lessons
According to the Minister, Senior High School students are expected to visit online to study all core subjects for free amidst the Coronavirus (COVID-19) break.
According to him, the Centre for Distance Learning Organizations has developed an online program for all the core contents in the Senior High Schools.
He indicated, all Senior High School students have been given passwords and access to an Icampus System, where there are notes with exercises, with over 20,000 interactive quizzes.

Telcos Support
Applauding Vodafone Ghana for its support to help students have access to educational content for free, the Minister called on all telecommunication companies to help zero-rate educational content.
He believes, should all telcos come on board, the majority of the students could have access to online content for free.
