Ferdinand | EducationGhana | July 5 | JUST IN: 3 WASSCE Candidates expelled for using Mobile Phone in School
The management of the Mount Sinai Senior High School (SHS) in Akropong Akuapem in the Eastern Region has reportedly expelled three final year students for using a mobile phone in the school, Starr News has reported.
According to reports, one of the students who managed to bring the mobile phone into the school connived with the other students to hide it in a trunk during an investigation by the school authorities.
The expelled students, however, initially denied knowing the whereabouts of the mobile phone when further questioned by the school authorities, until it was eventually found. Following their misconduct, the authorities immediately expelled them indefinitely.
The mother of one of the students speaking to Starr News said she went to the school to plead for a moderate punishment, given that the students have a few weeks left to complete their schoolwork.
