GES posts 14,500 teachers; hundreds still stranded over missing names on List

Hundreds of Teachers across the 46 Colleges of Education who graduated from College in 2018 are still stranded over their missing names on the posting lists being released by the Ghana Education Service(GES).

The Ghana Education Service released appointment letters of some 14,500 teachers from some 46 Colleges of Education who graduated in 2018.

Category of Appointments

The category of teachers whose appointment letters have been issued by the Ghana Education Service includes; Teachers who completed and passed the College of Education exams in 2018 and have also passed their licensure exams in the 2018/19 academic year.

The said teachers are also expected to have completed their mandatory national service and must have applied for recruitment into the Ghana Education Service.

The disappointments

Hundreds of graduates from the Colleges of Education who graduated in 2018 and have supposedly met the requirements complained of their inability to access their aapointment letters.

Speaking with EducationGhana’s Ellis Ferdinand, the graduates said they could not find their names on the posting list.

Some also said their requests were rejected when they tried accesing their postings,on the notion that they were not posted to any school in the country.

University Graduates’ Postings

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has said that Graduates with degree in early childhood and Basic Education and have applied for recruitment into the public basic schools are being worked on.

The GES has assured graduates to exercise patience as it continues to work on their postings.

2017 College Graduates

Meanwhile,some graduates from the Colleges of Education who graduated in 2017 are still complaining of the inability of the GES to post them since 2017.

The Graduates claimed some of them had issues which were now rectified for postings but we’re not Posted by the GES.
