GES Introduces New JHS uniforms to Prepare Pupils Psychologically for SHS Education

The Ghana Education Service (GES)  has introduced New School Uniform to be used by Pupils at the Junior High School Level begining 2019/20 Academic year.

The New Uniform according to the Director-General of the GES ,Prof. Kwesi Opoku Amankwah, shall  prepare the Pupils psychologically for Senior High Education.

Speaking at the launch of a new curriculum on Thursday ,April 11,2019.,the Director-general indicated that the introduction of the new uniform shall make the pupils feel they were Senior High School Students.

According to the Ghana Education Service,the Minister for Education,Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh,through consulations,presented a Memo to cabinet which was duly accepted to change the Junior High School Uniform.

”The idea is for them to see themselves as Senior High School Students” He said.
