The Ghana Education Service (GES) has extended the deadline for 2022 trained teachers to complete their self-posting process to August 31, 2024, due to technical difficulties with the recruitment portal. Here’s how to complete the process.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced an extension to the deadline for newly recruited trained teachers who completed their education in 2022 to complete the self-posting process. Originally set to end on August 21, 2024, the deadline has now been extended to August 31, 2024, providing additional time for these teachers to choose a school in any region across the country.
In a statement released by the GES, the extension is intended to accommodate applicants who faced technical difficulties with the GES recruitment portal. The GES expressed its commitment to ensuring that all eligible teachers have the opportunity to complete their self-posting without undue stress.
“We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue and complete the self-posting process,” said Cassandra Twum Ampofo, the spokeswoman for GES.
This extension is crucial for all shortlisted applicants from the 2022 batch of the Colleges of Education, allowing them more time to finalize their postings and submit their appointment letters. Applicants are encouraged to stay updated by regularly checking the GES website and other official communication channels.
How to Complete the Self-Posting Process:
- Visit the GES Promotions portal.
- Enter your College Index Number to verify your qualifications.
- Accurately input your phone number and NTC number for validation.
- A One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your provided phone number.
- Enter the OTP.
- Select your preferred Region, District, and School, then click the submit button.
- Save and print out your Appointment Letter.
This extension is an excellent opportunity for newly recruited teachers to carefully choose their preferred schools and ensure they secure their desired positions within the Ghana Education Service.
