Importance for Basic School Teachers

For basic school teachers, especially those preparing lesson plans for Second Term, aligning strictly with the GES calendar remains critical. Deviations may affect supervision reports, appraisal outcomes, and compliance with district-level monitoring.Teachers are also advised to take note of any public holidays within the term and make appropriate instructional adjustments without compromising curriculum coverage.

District Variations and Local Directives

While the national calendar provides the framework, teachers are encouraged to confirm any district or municipal-specific directives, including mock examinations, in-service training, or mid-term assessments that may slightly affect instructional timelines.

Official Guidance

The Ghana Education Service continues to emphasise structured planning, accountability, and consistency across schools nationwide. Teachers are urged to keep copies of approved calendars and align all academic records accordingly.
