  1. Who is eligible to apply for GES promotion in 2025? Any teacher who has served the required number of years in rank, has satisfactory performance appraisals, and has accumulated CPD points as required by the NTC can apply.  

 

2. What is the deadline for the 2025 promotion application? The deadline for submission is October 2, 2025. Teachers are advised to apply early to avoid last-minute technical issues.  

 

3. How do I obtain my promotion application code? You can obtain your code by registering on the official GES promotion portal: https://bit.ly/GESPROMOTION25.  

 

4. What happens if I make a mistake in my application? The 2025 portal has a RESET feature that allows teachers to clear their submission and re-apply with corrected details.  

 

5. Do I need CPD points for promotion? Yes. Teachers must provide evidence of participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities as part of the promotion requirements.  

 

6. What documents are required for the promotion process? Applicants need a valid Staff ID, Application Code, appraisal forms signed by supervisors, and records of CPD activities.  

 

7. Will there be an exam for all applicants? Not all ranks require written exams. Some promotions are based on interviews and performance evaluations, while others combine exams with appraisals.  

 

8. How do I know if my application was successful? After submission, you will receive confirmation on the portal. Successful applicants will later be notified through official GES communication channels.

 

  9. Can I use my phone to apply? Yes, but it is strongly recommended to use a computer or laptop for clarity, especially when uploading documents.  

10. What should I do if I experience technical challenges? Contact the GES promotion support team via the portal or seek assistance from your district education office for guidance.
