[web_stories title=”true” excerpt=”false” author=”false” date=”false” archive_link=”true” archive_link_label=”” circle_size=”150″ sharp_corners=”false” image_alignment=”left” number_of_columns=”1″ number_of_stories=”5″ order=”DESC” orderby=”post_title” view=”circles” /]The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has announced that some categories of workers on the government’s payroll shall forfeit their December salaries.
CAGD in a statement issued on October 12, 2021, indicated, that it was collaborating with the National Identification Authority (NIA), to have a harmonized database to facilitate biometric and unique identification of all workers on the government payroll.
The CAGD said its decision is part of the Government of Ghana’s efforts to deliver speedily, secured and verified payroll services to government employees and pensioners while reducing the risk of undeserving payments or claims.
By this notice, all existing and prospective Government workers are to ensure they are registered with the NIA and have obtained their Identity numbers.
