Comprehensive Speaker Profiles Revealed for the Outstanding Teacher Summit 2025

The National Platform for Teacher Development has released the full directory of distinguished speakers for the Outstanding Teacher Summit 2025. The event, a premier convocation for Ghana’s educators, will be held on Thursday, 18th September 2025, at the OB Hall, GIMPA, Accra. Below are the in-depth profiles of all confirmed speakers, panelists, and special guests.

Headline Speakers

Mr. Prosper Afun serves as the Chevening Officer for Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Burkina Faso at the British High Commission in Accra. In this role, he facilitates prestigious international scholarship opportunities and fosters educational partnerships, supporting the development of high-calibre professionals across West Africa.

Professor Dr. Joseph Ofori-Dankwa is the H.R. Wickes Endowed Professor in International Business at Saginaw Valley State University in the United States. A scholar of immense repute, he holds a Law degree from the University of Ghana and a doctorate in Organizational Behavior from Michigan State University.

He is the developer of the pioneering “diversimilarity” conceptual framework used to address workplace paradoxes. His profound commitment to Ghana’s development is evidenced through his co-founding of several pivotal institutions, including the Center for Excellence in Mathematics (CEMATHS) and the Makola Institute, a financial literacy centre for market women. A key facilitator for the Young African Leadership Institute (YALI) at GIMPA, his work earned him the 2020 State of Michigan’s Distinguished Professor Award.

Professor Enock Opoku Antwi is a multi-award-winning academic and leadership consultant whose career spans over two decades across three continents. Currently the Dean of Business Administration at Academic City University College in Accra, he previously directed the Master of Arts in Servant Leadership at Viterbo University in the USA, where he was named Professor of the Year.

He is the founder of Substance Magazine, hailed as “Africa’s Fortune Magazine,” and operates ENBEES Business Consulting, through which he offers training in leadership and governance across Africa, the U.S., and Europe. A prolific author of seven books and a recent recipient of the Myles University Global Leadership Award, Professor Antwi is a pivotal figure in reshaping leadership discourse in Africa.

Dr. Ernestina Korleki Tetteh is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Social Policy Studies at the University of Ghana, Legon. She holds a PhD in Migration Studies and an MPhil in Sociology from the same institution. With over a decade of dedicated experience, her research and policy development work maintains a specific focus on combating poverty, promoting health and well-being, advancing quality education, and fostering gender equality. She is deeply committed to contributing to a more equitable society through her rigorous academic research and community engagement.

Panel for Teachers (Innovative Practices)

Ms. Rita Agbenyo is an educationist and public relations practitioner dedicated to advancing innovative practices in teaching and learning. With extensive experience in integrating modern methods and technologies into educational settings, she designs initiatives that foster creativity, inclusivity, and collaboration in classrooms. Her strong background in strategic communication is committed to driving solutions that empower both learners and educators.

Mr. Ferdinand Sam is a Lead Engineer and mentor passionately dedicated to nurturing young minds in STEM education. He is the architect behind the acclaimed engineering club at Afia Kobi Ampem Girls SHS, where he has guided students to design innovative projects, including a jet aircraft and a mineral-detection watercraft. His vision is to commercialise the club’s projects, equipping students with the practical skills necessary for technological and national development.

Mrs. Faith Senyo is a recognised educator and innovator whose work focuses on enhancing classroom practices and student engagement through modern pedagogical approaches.

Mrs. Fuseina Fuseini, crowned Ghana’s Most Outstanding Teacher in 2024, is a renowned kindergarten educator at Madina SDA Basic School in Accra. A passionate advocate for innovative teaching methods with over a decade of experience, she encourages teachers to adopt new approaches to significantly improve learning outcomes. Her expertise, particularly in Jolly Phonics, has earned her national recognition for her exceptional contributions to the nation’s education system.

Breakout Rooms Speakers

Mr. Rabiu Alhassan is a media and digital strategy expert with nearly two decades of experience. As the Executive Director of FactSpace West Africa, he leads critical initiatives that promote information integrity across the region, leveraging technology and digital literacy programmes. An Erasmus Mundus scholar, he has collaborated with major organisations including WHO, UNESCO, and the Google News Initiative to strengthen information resilience and combat misinformation.

Mr. Divine Kpe is a highly regarded Education Specialist known for his expertise in curriculum development and pedagogical innovation, focusing on practical strategies for improving educational delivery in the Ghanaian context.

Mr. Godwin-Afful, professionally known as Gord-Afful, is a versatile Memory Trainer, Motivational Speaker, and advocate for youth empowerment. An autodidact in Educational Neuroscience, he upholds the philosophy that cognitive abilities can be enhanced through training. He is the author of “30-7-7, Secretes to Learning,” a book providing science-based learning techniques that is now used in schools across Ghana.

Ms. Regina Aku Dzameshie is a certified consultant in Entrepreneurship and Business Creation, recognised by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture. With a professional background that spans roles at the Ghana Armed Forces, Huawei Ghana, and as Co-founder of Hausa Tours Limited, she brings a wealth of experience in marketing, administration, and building a professional brand. She is an active member of several professional tourism bodies.

Baroness Mrs. Mavis Leonards is a CEO and Business Consultant with extensive experience in entrepreneurship. She provides strategic guidance and training in business development, offering valuable insights for educators looking to navigate teacher-led startups and business growth.

Mr. Ferdinand Ellis is a pioneering Ghanaian education blogger, curriculum specialist, and researcher focused on AI in Academia. As the founder of EducationGhana.org, he is a multiple award winner, including the Best Educational Blogger Award. He holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Pedagogic Studies and provides insightful analysis on education policy and reform.

 

Ms. Rosetta Lagbo is a dedicated teaching professional committed to advancing educational practices and contributing to the teaching community through shared knowledge and innovative classroom strategies.

Ms. Perpetual Bosomprah, awarded Best SHS Teacher at the 2024 Ghana Teacher Prize, is an enthusiastic and versatile specialist in the Language Department of Tarkwa SHS. She chairs the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) for Wassa West and is the founder and executive director of The Innovative Teacher Foundation, which seeks to empower female teachers and the girl child. Holding an M.Phil in English, her research interests encompass grammar, literature, and corpus studies.

Mrs. Sarah Oye Owiredu is the dedicated Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT).
