“Defer your re-sit exams if you can’t come to campus” – UG Management to students

How to Apply for University of Ghana Undergraduate Programs for 2021/22

Students of the University of Ghana have been asked to defer their supplementary re-sit exams if they are not comfortable with the decision of the University hold the exams on-site.

The Students Representative Council, in a petition to University management on the matter, among other things, said that the decision to hold the exam on campus will greatly affect students “whose location or place of residence is far from the capital.”

But the University, in a statement signed by the Acting Director of the Academic Affairs Director, Mrs Christy Badu, has announced to students the option of deferring the exam if they cannot make it to campus for the exams.

Students who may want to explore this option have been asked to write to the Academic Affairs Directorate.

“Any student who may not be comfortable with the safety and precautionary arrangements put in place by the University may opt-out, after providing official notification of such, and take the examination at the next available opportunity”

Meanwhile, the University says that ‘given the prevailing circumstances, the provision will be made for International Students to take the exams in real-time, like their local counterparts, in their home countries.’
