Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG) is looking forward to collaborating with the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana(TTAG) in the area of Research and Publications.
The two Associations in the Colleges of Education are looking forward to rebranding themselves to reflect their new status as professional tertiary associations.
Speaking at the 24th Annual Delegates Congress of the Volta Administrative Sector of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana,held from the 1st to 5th September,2019 at the St. Francis College of Education,Hohoe, the Vice President of CETAG threw the verbal proposal to TTAG.

In his quest to make the two associations more formidable in the future,Mr. John- Newton Kumi called on both Associations to be proactive in rebranding themselves.
”We look forward to a more purposeful collaboration between CETAG and TTAG probably in the area of research and the publication of same to reflect our new status as professional tertiary associations” He said.
Speaking on the theme “ADVANCING THE ROLE OF TEACHER EDUCATION IN GHANA: THE IMPACT OF GOVERNMENT POLICIES” Mr. John- Newton Kumi said ”While, it must be noted that, the developed human is able to champion societal advancement by applying skills learned to better the lot of humans, central to the educational industry is the TEACHER.”
”The role of the teacher is so critical that no nation can afford to ignore the teacher and go scot-free. Hence, there is the need for the state to pay more serious attention to teacher education in her well-intended bid to advance its role in promoting the right type of education for her citizens.” He said.
