In a dramatic battle of wits in the Upper East Region, Awe Senior High Technical School (SHTS) edged out its contenders to qualify for the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) 2025. The contest, marked by tension and high stakes, saw top-performing schools in the region fiercely contesting for a national slot.

Final Contest Results:

  • Awe SHTS – 31pts
  • Bolgatanga Girls’ SHS – 27pts
  • Bawku SHS – 19pts
  • Bongo SHS – 14pts

With only a four-point margin, Awe SHTS snatched victory from Bolgatanga Girls’ SHS in a contest that could have gone either way. Their win means an automatic ticket to the NSMQ 2025 National Championship, where they’ll represent the Upper East Region against Ghana’s best.

 What This Means

The 2025 National Championship promises to be more competitive than ever, with schools like Sekondi College, Wesley Girls, and St. James Seminary already in the national mix.

Congratulations

A big kudos to Awe SHTS for their stellar performance and resilience. The national stage beckons. Will they rise to the occasion? Ghana will be watching.
