The Minister in charge of Ghana’s Education, Hon. Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum has sworn in the governing councils for seven public educational institutions including the Tarkwa-based University of Mines and Technology (UMaT).
He in a post sighted by EducationWeb.com.gh said the government educational institutions are the Ghana Institute for Management and Public Administration (GIMPA); C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Science (CKT-UTAS); and the Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD UBIDS).

The rest are the University of Mines and Technology (UMaT); Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED); the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS); and the University for Development Studies (UDS).
In a related development, the Nursing and Midwifery Council has approved for C.K Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) formerly UDS Navrongo Campus to offer nursing and midwifery programmes.

According to the Registrar of the Nursing Council noted the development will offer the opportunity for new students in Navorongo and practitioners the platform to acquire nursing and midwifery training and education.
