Adequate number of core textbooks supplied to all schools for the 2019/20 Academic Year – GES

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has assured all Public Senior High/Technical Schools that it has supplied adequate number of core text books to all schools for the 2019/20 Academic year.

The GES further indicated ,it in was in the process to procure elective textbooks on course for all students in the Public Senior High/Technical Schools.

Addressing the press on September 5,2019, the Director General of the GES,Prof. Kwesi Opoku Amankwa said Management of the GES was working closely with the Buffer Stock to get food stuff supplied to all schools on timely basis.

In his speech, Prof. Amankwa said the Hon. Minister of Education has authorised the increase in monies for perishable good sent to the schools from 20% to 30%.

”Schools will continue to supply Uniforms to First year students.Each student is entitled to two school Uniforms. The schools will procure and send to Management for payment.”

”For the supply of school Cloth, Government, through the Ministry of Education has entered into an arrangement with Akosombo Textiles Ltd (ATL) to supply the cloth for the dressmakers of the school.” the GES Said.
