Quality of Answering and Teamwork

Abetifi Presby’s team exhibited excellent coordination and timing. Their lead contestant maintained steady composure through all rounds, particularly during the speed race, where their accuracy rate remained among the highest of the day.
Oti Boateng, on the other hand, showcased improved teamwork compared to their 2024 prelims performance, but a few miscalculations in Round 4 cost them critical points that could have tipped the balance.

Sefwi Wiawso’s performance, though modest, demonstrated potential, especially in chemistry and general knowledge. Their time management and question selection, however, will require tightening in future contests.

Historical Context: Abetifi Presby SHS in NSMQ

Abetifi Presby SHS has gradually become a strong Eastern Region contender in the NSMQ. Their return to form in 2025 echoes their notable 2022 preliminary triumph, where they recorded one of the region’s top scores.
Though they have not reached the grand finale in recent years, their consistent top-eight appearances in the preliminary stages have positioned them among the dependable academic forces from the East.

Their victory on Day 3 not only secures them a one-eighth stage qualification but also places them as one of the top regional representatives likely to advance deeper into the knockout phase.

Performance Outlook: Can Abetifi Presby Go Further?

With 56 points, Abetifi Presby enters the next round as a credible challenger. Their scoring pattern—strong in speed and concept rounds—suggests a well-balanced team capable of sustaining pressure in higher-stakes contests.
However, their relatively average performance in the Problem of the Day round could be a vulnerability against tougher opponents like Ofori Panin SHS and Our Lady of Grace, who have dominated similar rounds with higher accuracy.

If the team sharpens its problem-solving speed and maintains its rhythm from Day 3, Abetifi Presby SHS could push beyond the one-eighth stage and possibly secure a quarter-final berth—a feat that would reaffirm their steady academic rise.
