The CEO of non-governmental organization Worship’s Aid foundation, Joshua Worship Frimpong paid a visit to the streets of Accra over the weekends to spend time with some persons with disabilities and over 40 head porters popularly known as ‘kayayei’.
According to him, his quest is to found out the conundrums these people face on a daily basis and advocate for aids.
He noted in the aftermath that it’s important we extend aids to vulnerable people in societies.
“I realized the travails of these people were beyond my preconceptions. Their problems transcends just not having a place to sleep and food to eat. I’m really sad and I ask that everyone gets involved as we help our families on the streets”.
His foundation’s Next outreach is slated for December this year, which would encompass a health screening and a donation for the head porters. The foundation recently partnered with Youth Action Movement and UNFPA to organize a health screening and blood donation at the University of Ghana, with the event witnessing close to 1000 students participation.
The CEO Worship Joshua Frimpong is a final year social work student at the University of Ghana and the erstwhile Vice President of Legon hall(UG).
