TTAG Announces Removal of National Coordinator
The (TTAG) has officially removed Hon. from office as National Coordinator with immediate effect.
The announcement was contained in a public notice issued by the TTAG National Secretariat on May 18, 2026.
Decision Taken at Annual Delegates’ Congress
According to the statement, the decision was reached during the 30th Annual Delegates’ Congress held on May 16, 2026.
TTAG explained that the removal followed concerns over conduct considered inconsistent with:
- Efficient functioning of the Association
- Institutional discipline
- Constitutional processes governing TTAG
The Congress reportedly voted overwhelmingly in favour of the removal.
Delegates Vote for Removal
The notice disclosed that:
- 153 delegates voted for removal
- 62 delegates voted for suspension
Based on the outcome, Hon. ceased to hold any authority within the Association.
TTAG Warns Public Against Unauthorized Representation
TTAG emphasized that the former National Coordinator no longer has the mandate to:
- Act on behalf of the Association
- Speak for TTAG
- Represent the Association publicly
- Undertake official engagements in the name of TTAG
The Association further urged media houses, stakeholders, and the general public not to recognize or engage him on TTAG-related matters.
According to the statement, any such engagement would not represent the official position of the Association.
Association Reaffirms Commitment to Constitutional Governance
The stated that it remains committed to:
- Constitutional governance
- Institutional integrity
- Democratic principles
- Accountability within student leadership
The statement forms part of ongoing developments within the Association following recent administrative and electoral changes.
