Teachers lament over ‘Poor Treatment’ at the ongoing Training on New Curriculum for Basic Schools

Teachers at the various centres of the ongoing training on the New Curriculum have descended heavily on their employers ,the Ghana Education Service for allegedly treating them badly.

The teachers complained about the poor nature of food that was served at the workshop,describing the situation as a form of disrespect to their personalities and the teaching profession.

Social media has been flooded with different types of foods that were been served at the various centres of the ongoing curriculum workshop.

The teachers were served with tea packaged in  rubbers with bread at some centers as snacks and rice with stew for lunch.

But the teachers said the food was not properly packaged.

Teachers at some centres also complained about the poor nature of the foods being served.

The Curriculum Training

About 152,000 Teachers at the public basic schools across the country  begun a compulsory workshop on the implementation of the New Curriculum for Basic Schools.

The New Curriculum is expected to  be implemented  in September 2019 to begin the 2019/20 Academic year.

The workshop is meant specifically for Kindergarten and Primary Teachers only.
