Private Schools likely to ‘Collapse’ under NPP Gov’t- Headmaster

The headmaster of Apostolic Golden Jubilee school in Kumasi Ash Town in the Ashanti Region, Elder Akwasi Nimoh is appealing to the government of Ghana land the Education Ministry to  do something to support private schools if not all the private schools in the country will collapse.

In his speech,the  Nana Akufo Addo and his education ministry lead by Hon Mathew Opoku Prempeh, who double as member of Parliament for Manhyia South Constituency which his school fall within, should  do something to support private schools.

He made this revelations during the open Day ceremony celebration of the  Apostolic Golden Jubilee school in Kumasi.

According to him, there are so many policies which will help to collapse private schools in the country.

He cited the placement of BECE students into SHS as one possible determinant of his assertions.

”Schools which we all know that 30% for government schools and the 70% also share for both private and government school,meanwhile, the private schools are more than government schools.” He lamented.

Registrations of BECE Candidates

According to him,Government schools do receive free registration suring the BECE registration period but private schools receive no support.

He also lamented on the fact that when students reach form one, most of them leave the private schools to government schools, making the private schools finding it difficult to register more candidates.
