PREMPEH College wins 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz Competition

EducationGhana | November 27 | 2021NSMQ WINNER: Kumasi based PREMPEH College has won the 2021 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz on Friday, November 26, 2021.

PREMPEH won their Fifth title after a sweet victory over their rivals Legon PRESEC and the Country’s favourite and underdogs KETASCO.

The competition which had its first experience in the Ashanti Region has offered the PREMPEH boys a host and win opportunity which materialised at the end of the competition.

Facts About Prempeh College’s win in the 2021 NSMQ Competition

• This win marks the 5th time Prempeh College has won the NSMQ competition.
• Prempeh College is the first school in Ghana to win the NSMQ competition. They won the first NSMQ contest in 1996.
• Prempeh College, part of their winning streak, won the NSMQ the first time the NSMQ was moved to Accra.
• Interesting enough, NSMQ 2021 happens to be the first time the NSMQ is being held in Kumasi and they have won it again.

Prempeh College NSMQ 2021 Host and Win

The massively contested competition took place in Kumasi at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, KNUST.

Although KNUST SHS couldn’t go by their words in their quest for Host & win, That HOST&WIN agenda has been completed by Prempeh College.

It is also their home since the competition is held in Kumasi.

The National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Competition is one of the most popular & Ghana’s most cherished quiz competitions.

This is a competition for Senior High School students and where the students battle out for Glory in a Science and Mathematics quiz.

Even though this competition is a competition for SHS students, it is cherished and watched by all.

It is watched by the SHS students and their parents who throw in their support and particularly, watched and hailed by previous students (old boys and girls), who take great satisfaction in their schools’ achievement on this programme.
