Notice: Requirement for the conversion of a Nonprofessional to a Professional Teacher

    The Ghana Education Service (GES) has released a template for the conversion of Non-professional teachers to Professional Teachers.

    Requirement

    The requirements for the conversion from Non-Professional to Professional Teachers require the following;

    2. HIGHEST QUALIFICATION IN EDUCATION
    3. INSTITUTION OF STUDY
    4. CERTIFICATE NUMBER
    5. MANAGEMENT UNIT
    6. CURRENT RANK

    There are two categories of teachers targeted for this exercise: (a) Those recruited Before September 2018 and (b) those recruited after September 2018

    All teachers in category (b) are to visit their District Education Offices with their Teachers Licensure index numbers and registered numbers.

     

    NB: Some teachers were recruited before and after September 2018. These teachers, though held Bachelor of Education, were placed on the Non-Prof scale. On their payslip, it registers Principal Supt Non-professional.

    Deadline for the conversion is October 15, 2020
