High School Television,organizers of the 2019 edition of WTB Awards has announced finalists to compete for the ultimate Prize.
The announcement took place on Monday ,May 27,2019 at its official social media platforms.
This year’s Awards saw the introduction of one new ”underdog” school which has never been part of the competition.
The ”underdog” School,Kwanyako SHS shall be competing in the finals for the first time of its entrance into the competition.
This year’s Awards shall take place at the National Theatre on August 15,2019 on the theme ”Projecting Talents through Education”.
This years top ten finalists includes SAMMO SHS,from the Central Region who took most Awards at last year’s Awards ceremony.
Agona Swedru-based Swedru SHS is contesting in the competition for the second time after an impressive performance last year.
Mfantsiman SHS ,who played key a role in last year’s Awards and current defending champions ,has been named in the top ten finalists for this year.
Also in the top ten are the Kumasi-based Prempeh College and St. Louis SHS.
Ghana’s reigning ROBOFEST World Champions,Methodist Girls SHS shall integrate their ROBOTIC ideas into this years competition .
St. Mary’s SHS,PRESEC OSU and the St. Margaret Mary SHS shall be representing the nation’s Capital ,Accra ,at this years Competition.
This year’s WTB Awards has about twenty-five (25) schools.
About the WTB Awards
The WTB Awards is an annual Awards for SHS Students.
It is being organized by High School TV.
The purpose of the Awards is to give the opportunity to SHS Students to showcase their talents to promote Education.
Students show acts such ad music,drama ,poetry among others.
The talents exhibited are to make an impact on their Education.
