Some Candidates of the ongoing West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in Koforidua have alleged that invigilators who are sympathizers of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) are not allowing them to seek help from each other.
According to the students, while invigilators believe to be members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are willing to abet candidates struggling and wanting to seek support, their counterparts “NDC invigilators” are resisting it.
Some of the candidates in Koforidua Secondary Technical (SECTEC) and Oyoko Methodist Senior High School (OMESS) said this after writing the Integrated Science Paper 1 and 2 on Monday, August 3.
Albeit these concerns, the students said they tried their best hoping to pass well the exam.
This year’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) started on Monday, August 3, 2020, with a total of 375,737 candidates in over 796 examination centres across the country.
The students are the first batch beneficiaries of the Free Senior High School Policy.
They have been branded by President Akufo Addo as “Akufo Addo graduates”.
