Investigate VC Afful Broni over financial impropriety – UEW Alumni

Alumni of the University of Education Winneba (UEW), have lodged a formal complaint with the Auditor General to investigate the Vice Chancellor (VC) of the University, Very Rev. Fr. Professor Anthony Afful-Broni and the finance officer for spending 5.7 million cedis in six weeks on honorarium and other unaccounted for expenses.

In a letter which was copied to the President, Attorney General and Minister of Education, the Alumni said the conduct of the two amounts to clear mismanagement and unlawful abuse of public funds as the expenditure is not in tandem with the Public Financial Management Act,2016.

The Alumni want the expenditure probed, the item of expenditure disallowed  and officers found culpable surcharged in accordance with the  law.
