EducationGhana, May 13, GNAT: Courage Ladzagla a teacher at the Ashaiman No.1 primary School is contesting the youth coordinator position at the Tema Metropolitan Gnana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) elections.
The election which is set to come off May 28, 2021, shall see the association electing new leaders or maintaining the old leadership of the Metropolitan GNAT directorate to manage the affairs of the association for the next four years.

In an interview with EducationGhana’s Ellis Ferdinand, Courage said he was the best choice for the position, indicating his exposure in the Metropolis and his contributions and leadership positions in the locals that distinguishes him as a potential leader of the association’s youth leadership.
”I have familiarized in the Tema metropolis for the past 8years. I have served in various capacities in the Association particularly at the local/grass root as school rep and Local Youth Coordinator and have identified myriads of issues that need attention.” He said.

”I have come to appreciate the fact that unionism presents to as; a strong voice and a forum to work in unison to be heard and to press home our demands for the collective good of all. Fellow GNAT Youths” He said.

”I have come to believe that prospective leadership goes beyond vague promises; I believe in action, respect for varied views and working together for our common good- this we shall achieve together Comrades If voted for I come on board with the following initiatives:

2. Increase the membership numbers in the metro through a program dubbed ‘ *GNAT AS A VIBRANT TEACHER UNION ‘
3.organization of programs such as excursions, games(indoor and outdoor), health screening exercises for teachers in the local. (stress-free program s)
4. Lobbying for sponsorship for youths/teachers programs
5. Establishment of a youth desk at the Metro office of the Union Comrades and fellow GNAT Youth It is possible; it is doable with your support and votes Let’s do this together victory is here Long live GNAT, Long live GNAT Youth Wing” He assured.
