In a decisive move to modernise teacher education, the Government of Ghana has launched a nationwide e-learning platform linking all 46 Colleges of Education under a single digital system.
The initiative, unveiled in Accra by Deputy Minister for Education , is expected to improve access to learning resources, strengthen collaboration among institutions, and raise the overall quality of teacher preparation across the country.

A Unified Digital System for Teacher Training
The platform introduces a coordinated digital learning environment where tutors and trainees can engage in real-time instruction, share academic materials, and access structured training content regardless of location.
According to Dr. Apaak, the initiative represents a shift in the philosophy of teacher education in Ghana.
“Today marks more than the launch of a digital platform. It marks a decisive step in our journey to transform teacher education in Ghana,” he stated during the launch.
